Obituary for Ralph Louden

Ralph Louden, age 44, of Eddyville, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Caldwell Medical Center. He loved the Lord and attended Macedonia Baptist Church in Lyon County. Ralph was a Walmart Private Fleet Truck Driver. He graduated from South Spencer High School in Reo, IN where he was a two time all state linebacker and ran track. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Ralph was a devoted husband and father. His wife, Shanna, was his best friend and his family was very important to him. He was a hard worker that always provided for his family. He loved to talk, loved the Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Colts, taking golf cart rides at night, fishing, tubing and jet skiing, boating and anything that was lake related. He was a very happy person and loved life. He always had a smile on his face, was very friendly and never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes with his son, Brady. He enjoyed nature and pets.


Ralph is survived by his wife, Shanna Louden; one daughter, Fiona (7) and two sons, Brady (5) and Quincy (3), all of Eddyville; mother, Maxine Arnold Louden of Richland, IN; four sisters, Carla Sebree & husband, Frank of Owensboro, KY; Melissa Matthies & husband, Ken of Cheyenne, WY; Debbie Hall & husband, David of Richland, IN; Mary Gibson and husband, James of Richland, IN; one brother, Charlie Louden of Rockport, IN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Linda Townsend, Eddyville, KY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David, Jr. and Christy Townsend of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Krista Boyle of Evansville, IN; fourteen nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Omega Louden, Jr.; one infant brother, Carl Clinton Louden.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Lakeland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Lakeland Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Grigg and Pastor Walter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery with full military honors.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Ralph Louden Memorial Fund, c/o Farmers Bank, Eddyville, KY.
